Frequently asked questions
Can you win prizes on Pricedle?
Yes, if you live in France or the European Union. A new season starts every month: points earned in the daily challenge and in duels against other players count toward the season leaderboard, and the top 3 at the end of the month win a gift card (currently €30, €10 and €10, shown on the Leaderboard page). Free to enter; the full rules are on the “Season rules” page. Players from elsewhere can play and rank, but can't receive prizes.
What is Pricedle?
Pricedle is a free online game: two items appear, only the first one's price is shown, and you have to guess whether the second one costs more or less. Pokémon and Magic cards, CS2 skins, Steam games, sneakers, watches and cars sold at auction, paintings, stocks, crypto, billionaires: dozens of games, with real prices updated every day.
How do you play?
Pick a theme, look at the price of the item on the left, then answer “higher” or “lower” for the one on the right. Each right answer moves you forward one card; the game ends at the first wrong answer. The longer your streak, the closer the prices get.
Is Pricedle free?
Yes. Every theme, the daily challenge, duels and the leaderboard are free. The optional Premium subscription gives you unlimited duels, 3 daily challenges a day and removes ads.
What is the daily challenge?
Every day, a 10-pair game mixes every theme at once, with prices getting closer and closer. You pick your difficulty (easy, medium or hard) and earn points for the leaderboard.
How do you earn leaderboard points?
Points come from the daily challenge (10, 20 or 30 points per right answer depending on difficulty, +50% for a perfect run, doubled in “All themes”) and from live duels against other players (40 points per win). Classic mode and duels against the bot don't earn points.
Where do the prices come from?
From public or specialized sources, cited for each theme: TCGplayer for cards (Cardmarket for Japanese Pokémon cards), Skinport for CS2 skins, Steam for games, eBay for sneakers, watches and collectibles, auction results and the Forbes ranking via Wikipedia, Twelve Data and CoinGecko for stocks and crypto. Prices are shown in US dollars.
Do I need an account?
Not for classic mode: your records stay in your browser. A free account is required for the daily challenge, duels and the leaderboard.
